June 2016, we had our post Don Caffee PVF Roundtable golf meeting, we were focused on how to improve our tournament. In addition, we were reviewing the things that did not go as smoothly as we liked and how we could improve on them in our 2017 tournament. Several suggestions were made and implemented; however, I still thought we could do something even better. How could we make it a “wow” event? Then several months later a friend of mine said that I needed to contact Guy Gilmore with iScoreGolf and go see his product. He had recently played in a tournament that used iScoreGolf, and he could not stop talking about it. Guy’s golf ball Air Cannon Shot on a Par 4 and the Live Scoring using iPad mini’s made the tournament a great experience.
I contacted Guy immediately and we set up a meeting. At the first meeting, I committed to the Golf Ball Air Cannon Shot product. We had to have it. On a Par 4 tee box, the players pay a fee and get to shoot their ball to the green in one shot. The iPad Live scoring took us a little longer to commit to purchase. Guy invited me out to observe an iScoreGolf tournament. I saw how smoothly the tournament was working, I knew we had to have it for our 2017 tournament. Our May 2017 tournament ended up being the most profitable ever, and iScoreGolf products really helped us to achieve the “wow factor” we were looking for at our tournament. We really loved the Golf Cart signs he prints, and Guy suggested we could sell sponsorships for the back of the cart signs that could pay for the live scoring product. It worked!!! The Golf Ball Air Cannon Shot was a blast, especially for the golfer and his team that got a hole in one from 325 yards!!
iScoreGolf’s Live Scoring, Golf Ball Air Cannon and the entire golf package made our 2017 tournament a hit. We can’t wait to do it again next year. Guy and his team are easy to work with making our tournament a classier event. He handles the pairing sheets, golf cart pairing signs, labels for equipment check in, team photos, and all of the scoring. Plus, Title sponsor logos on the 110-inch screen that he brings for the awards ceremony. Live Scoring saved more than an hour at the awards ceremony and focused only on the high-end awards. If you want your tournament to move to the next level and be a “wow experience,” then you have to call Guy with iScoreGolf!!
